APPRECIATION POST!!!! ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ So I began my fitness journey about s decade ago when I was looking for an outlet on mental issues and more control over my life. I found boxing and imediately fell in love with the sweet science, I would train 6 days a week. Began coaching to help pay for my membership fees, coaching gave me a feeling like no other( my first time falling in live with helping others). From here I would learn I'm an extremely competitive person and I found sprinting and track and field to be the second purist form of competition next to fighting. I would spent my teens to early 20s with a crazy workout ethic: 6am stretching or shake out runs, class, after noon workouts , late evening weights. My days began around 6am and would end 10:30-11pm , this was heaven for me. . When I was blessed with the opportunity to run track at a university level for Dalhousie tigers I jumped at the opportunity but would quickly be awakened to a whole new level of natural talent with a workout drive to match my own. Safe to say I was just out of my league in some events I finished 36/126 athlete on a national stage. Suffering from an injury ( right hamstring pull 2x ) that would end my competitive running days. . I would go on to put on some weight and not in a good way. ( 160ish my last track season- 230lbs when I would start bodybuilding) knowing I had to get my self out of a mental whole of darkness. Coming from background like mine, University athlete and a mentality that is a hustlers ambition. We became a perfect fit, and that little flame he lit about 4 years ago now has turned into a passion of mine! While i may not be a bodybuilder or a track star I do believe we as individuals have the ability to become the best versions of ourselves through fitness. I spent years studying the human body, trial and error for the best methods. And #effectivedev wouldn't be here if it wasnt for my brother @jonni.shreve this is just a beginning of a new chapter for me and like the big guy him self you are on a new chapter in your life as well I wish you and @heathershreverd nothing but the best !! Okay, bear with... So early this year I used met cons and conditioning as a way to improve my fitness... fast forward and now I’m basically training the same way I did when I started crossfit a couple of years ago (Even though I thought it was the best thing ever I didn’t believe in myself enough at the time to stick with it for long) The variety, intensity, the movements... I honestly think it’s great, maybe I can get good enough to compete one day but basically I just love the workouts. More importantly though is that I see myself differently. I know I’m in the best shape I’ve been for a while but it’s not because I picked myself apart to get here, it’s because I found something I genuinely enjoy doing, something that makes me want to get up and commit everyday... eat better and train harder. It’s a good feeling spending more time wondering what I can do, rather than focusing on my flaws. I’m not saying you should do crossfit (lets not start that today) but find something you really love to do, that you’ll commit to, that you enjoy... because once you start appreciating your body for what it can do and achieve, thats when you’ll feel your best and be proud of your body no matter what. #crossfit #strongnotskinny #girlswholift #training #gym #grind #functionaltraining #fitspo #gymmotivation #girlswithmuscle #bodyappreciation #healthylifestyle #moveeveryday #nofilter

I’m overloaded... * * Between me moving this weekend, taking on way to many projects at once (new gym training program, office remodel, new marketing promotions, social media projects, among others...), coaching each day, making calls, billing, etc... all while taking care of Poppy (5-month old daughter) from 7am-3pm each day while trying to get all my work done... * * I’m taking on a bit much. Probably too much right now * * The move will allow me to have a home office and be able to squeeze in a few extra hours of work at night. * * My content had been pretty weak here this week... I just haven’t found the time for editing. It’ll get back on track soon!
